The source is Lake Coeurdalene, and the mouth is the Columbia
River. The main tributaries are the Little Spokane River,
then Hangman or Latah creek, then Chamokane creek,
then Blue creek. Chamokane is a boundary of the Spokane Indian Reservation and
it has a waterfall. Where the Little Spokane River
meets the Spokane River is where David Thompson built the Spokane House. Its
goods received were transported down river to the Columbia to be picked up
there. Long Lake Dam forms the Lake called Long Lake and there is another dam
downstream of it called the Little Falls dam.
