What:
Petroglyphs in picnic area of Priest Rapids dam. The carvings displayed here were removed from Whale Island which was just upstream of the powerhouse of the dam. This is in accord with the wishes of the Wanapum leader Puck-Hyah-Toot. Wanapum dam is nearby with very interesting Native American exhibits.
Where:
From Spokane take I90 towards Vantage, but before taking the bridge over the river continue on the East side of the river south and you will soon pass Wanapum dam, and then in just a few miles get to Priest Rapids dam.
